Why charter from Zurich Airport
Zurich is Switzerland's principal gateway for business aviation, with general aviation facilities separate from the main passenger terminals. In practice that means you arrive shortly before departure, walk through a private terminal rather than a queue, and are airborne in the time it would normally take to clear security.
Because our aircraft, our crew and our office are all based in Kloten, we can respond to a short-notice request without moving an aircraft across Europe first. For departures from Zurich, that difference shows up in both the price and the lead time.
Our charter fleet
We operate four aircraft out of Zurich, each managed by us on behalf of its owner. That matters when you charter: we know these aircraft, we know their crews, and we are not reselling a seat on something we have never seen.
How a charter request works
Send us the route, the date and the number of passengers. We come back with a firm quote, normally within a few hours, that includes the aircraft, the crew, handling at both ends and the catering you have asked for. No brokerage layer, no surprise line items on the invoice.
Once you confirm, our concierge team takes over the details: catering, ground transport, special requests, and the coordination that makes the difference between a flight and a journey. On the day, you arrive at the general aviation terminal and we do the rest.
Flight operations
Our sales and dispatch team plans and coordinates every flight, from routing and slots to handling, permits and ground arrangements. You tell us where you need to be. We take care of what it takes to get you there.
Crew
Your aircraft is flown by crew we select, train and roster, and continuity matters: owners who fly regularly see the same faces in the cabin. Our pilots complete recurrent type training twice a year at FlightSafety International or CAE, with further refresher training through the year, so that the crew on your aircraft is always current on the type and on the technology in the cockpit.
Maintenance and airworthiness
We coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, manage the maintenance programme and keep the technical records that keep your aircraft airworthy. Work is carried out at an EASA-approved maintenance organisation, and continuing airworthiness is managed through a CAMO, so that your aircraft stays compliant without you having to follow the paperwork.
Administration and cost control
Insurance, registration, invoicing, fuel agreements, budgets and reporting. You receive a clear picture of what your aircraft costs and why, and you deal with one team rather than a dozen suppliers.
What a private jet charter from Zurich costs
The price of a charter depends on the aircraft, the distance, the number of flight hours, the airport fees at both ends and whether the aircraft has to reposition to reach you. A short European return on a light jet and an intercontinental sector on a long range trijet are not in the same conversation, and any quote given before those details are known is a guess.
Two things reduce the cost meaningfully. Chartering an aircraft that is already based where you are departing from avoids paying for positioning. And if your dates are flexible, an empty leg on a route we are already flying costs a fraction of a full charter.

How our operation is structured
Swiss Global Jet Management is an independent, family-owned company founded in Kloten in 2002 by John Rageth, and now led by his daughter Désirée R. Rageth as CEO and Accountable Manager. We manage the aircraft in our fleet on behalf of their owners.
Commercial flights are operated under the Air Operator Certificate of Jet Pool Network Luftverkehrs GmbH, our sister company at Vienna Airport, founded in 2004 by the same founder and part of the same family group. Your flight therefore takes place within an established EASA operator framework, while the people organising it sit in Kloten and answer the phone themselves.
Flexible dates? Look at our empty legs
When one of our aircraft repositions without passengers, we release the flight at a reduced rate. If your travel dates are open and the route happens to match, it is the least expensive way to fly privately from Switzerland. Availability changes daily, so it is worth checking the current list.
Frequently asked questions
How far in advance do I need to book?
For a European sector with an aircraft available in Zurich, a same-day or next-day departure is often possible. Longer sectors, unusual destinations and peak periods such as Davos in January need more notice. Ask us, even at short notice: the answer is more often yes than people expect.
Which airports can you fly into?
Private jets reach far more airports than scheduled airlines, including regional fields close to your final destination. Part of what we do when quoting is to suggest the arrival airport that saves you the most time on the ground, which is not always the obvious one.
Are you a broker or an operator?
Neither one nor the other in the usual sense. We manage our own fleet and sell charter on those aircraft, operated under our sister company's AOC. When a request does not suit any of our four aircraft, we say so rather than sourcing something we cannot vouch for.
Can I fly with pets, or with unusual luggage?
In most cases yes. Skis, golf bags, instruments and pets are routine on our flights. Tell us in advance so that we can plan the aircraft and the loading properly.
